Baby shower help!!

Baby shower help. I have a huge divorced family. I'm making a guest list for my shower and with just close family (from each side) I'm at 29. When i add my friends I'm at 45 and could make it more. My problem is the space is already rented and paid for. If we cancel we are out of the money. My family is throwing the shower and my friends are great but not financially able to throw me one. So I can only have one shower. How do you rule out who gets an invite? I'm stressing!
