Ttc with a vasectomy reversal

My husband got married young had 2 kids (and a vasectomy) and then it didn't work out. We've been together 5 years now, married 3. He had a vasectomy reversal Feb 2014. We tried last summer for a baby, nothing happened. He was on heavy steroids for poison ivy. I'm not sure if this hindered us or if he didn't have strong enough sperm yet. We are school teachers so I was trying to plan it around when school gets out so we stopped trying for a while. We did have sex once or twice in my fertility window but nothing happened. We just started ttc again. I'm in my tww and I'm freaking out. I'm 29 and I know it's not old but I really wanted to be done having babies by 30. Should we keep trying? See a fertility doctor? Any one experience anything similar that has any advice?
