Mommas out there-

How long did you stay in the hospital after giving birth?

Did you exempt your baby from getting a vitamin k, hepatitis b, arithromiasin salve on their eyes, or any other procedure/vaccine? And why (i ask out of sheer curiosity without judgment or intent to start a debate. I've been reading all morning/watching videos and I'm curious as to what matches with what I've found)

What testing was performed on your baby? They said there is the initial panel done to find out how baby is digesting, their levels in their blood, but some additional testing may be done such as an ultra sound, ekg, or additional blood work? In curious to what is typical.

What services are available to you from the hospital? Such as a lactation consultant, dietary specialist, professional "parent" to offer training on bathing/diapering/dressing/swaddling etc. Does anyone know of classes for parents to practice all of this beforehand?

Any pointers?

I know I wrote a lot but my heart is racing and I feel so unprepared for this. I was not expecting the process after delivery. I know it varies, we are using a midwife and natural birth ( couldn't do an at home water birth because of availability/logistics) but I'm not sure if they perform the same tests and procedures. I want to make sure the hospital does what we want after watching documentaries on hospital labors that terrified me. -.- so much to deal with
