Newborn shoes?

Might be a dumb question but do newborns wear shoes?

My daughter had cute newborn slippers that she hardly wore cause she'd kick them off. We just put socks on her cause for us we think shoes before walking age is kinda pointless

Tey have newborn shoes, but my family never bought any. They grow out of them very quickly. I have also heard of future problems from wearing shoes too early. I'm a ftm, I think newborn shoes are cute, however they are expensive and aren't used much. I know my father had his, he wore them only a handful of times and then my grandparents had them dipped to preserve them.

I never bought shoes for my other two. Socks and pants with feet is all I ever had and the same will do for this one. The older ones don't have problems with feet but they do like to run around without shoes lol

My son always wore shoes when we went somewhere even as a newborn. He has no issues with his feet and was walking at 10 1/2 months. He also likes his shoes now because he is accustomed to wearing them and doesn't try to take them off until we tell him to. He is now 15 months. He never kicked them off as someone else said. No, newborns or any baby that isn't walking or standing doesn't really need shoes on when you are out and about. Socks will do just fine but if you want to throw a pair of shoes on them, that's fine too. :)

Although they are adorable, they are practical! They kick their legs so often that they will just kick them off!
