Contractions??

I'm 32W+3 and a FTM. Last night I had cramp like feelings which made it hard to sleep. This morning it happened again. (all in my lower area) I don't know what contractions feel like. Are these it? Or could it be I was hurrying my little one or dehydrated?? Sorry for all the questions.

Anything that feels like menstrual cramps are more likely heading towards pre-term labor (I had them with Braxton hicks pretty strong at 28 weeks). If it's menstrual crampy feeling (especially pelvis & low back) check in with your doc IMO.

When that happens, does your belly get hard as a rock in spots? This was happening to me am I doctor told me it was Braxton Hicks. first time mom. Didn't know what it was. Dr. told me just to drink as much water as possible

I had something like that the other day too. Kind of want to ask my dr about it. It may be something to do with BH or dehydration. It went away after I drank a lot of water. Still, you want to make sure your body didn't dilate.

Braxton hicks started for me at 28 weeks. A tightening with knots almost, pain in my back down towards my butt. Totally normal, put your feet up and drink

Do you mean like period type pains? I have those and when I was on a monitor yesterday and got them, the doctor said it was a really small contraction(Braxton hicks). This is my first so I'm still figuring stuff out. I've been told to stay hydrated because that should help.
