Last night my dog Xena strained her elbow playing outside. I took her to the emergency vet in the wee hours of the morning when it became clear doggy aspirin and ice pack were not cutting it. She was examined and had an x-ray done. Thankfully no broken bones or torn ligaments. The best the vet could tell was that the cartilage in her elbow was inflamed. She prescribed an anti inflammatory and pain meds. I've been watching her all day and she still seems so uncomfortable, but not in as much pain as last night. Is there anything else I can do to help her? I was thinking a warm bath? She loves the water. I just hate seeing her so miserable.
