Severe Gas Pains during Early Pregnancy?

I'm 3 days out until expects AF, hubby and I aren't trying but not preventing anything so there's a good possibility that we could be expecting. Anyway my question is has anyone experienced severe gas pain early on in pregnancy. I've never had gas pains and I haven't eaten anything abnormal, so I was just wondering if this is a typical symptom.

I'm expecting AF in 4 days and last night I woke up in pain it felt like gas and I needed to use the bathroom but I just couldn't go so I slept on my stomach that helped but now that I'm up its back again and I feel nauseous what's going on ?
