False negative??

How common is it to get a false negative with pcos?? I haven't had a proper cycle in about 3-4 months. Just some spotting occasionally. I've been having weird cravings and sleeping a lot more than normal in addition to no periods and it made me wonder. I tested and got negative. Just wondering if it's still possible I could be pregnant.

I have pcos and it can take longer for the hcg hormone to build up in your system so home pregnancy tests aren't always the best. When I thought I was my doctor told me to come in for a urine test as they have a more sensitive test than the ones sold in stores and when that was negative she did a blood test.

Do you chart your temp? That would be the best indicator

With PCOS I heard home testing can be tricky some meds will mess with tests so idk i wonder the same thing since we have started TTC
