Sex???

Today was the first time in 15 weeks that my husband and I have engaged in sex. I have been to nervous because of the baby. I'm sure there are other women out there who felt the same way. My question to you is it safe, I mean will it affect the baby?

I'm 14 weeks and have had sex literally everyday since (and before) I found out I was pregnant. We haven't slowed down at all, in fact we do it more now since my hormones are going crazy. And we're kinky so we do the tying me up thing and he even spanks me. If I can do all that without harming baby you most certainly can have regular easy going sex. Baby is well protected and cushioned in there, his penis isn't big enough (its impossible) to hit baby's head and its not going to knock anything loose. Sex got you pregnant so why would it be bad now? I don't understand why women think they need to wrap themselves in bubble wrap when pregnant. You can do everything you did pre pregnancy just in moderation like work out, work, even drink wine in small doses, and I don't believe certain foods are bad either. Its all about moderation. So sex is absolutely fine and good for you in a normal pregnancy.

It's really shocking to me that so many women think sex is unsafe during pregnancy. There is absolutely no reason to abstain at any point during your pregnancy unless there's a health condition and your doctor tells you specifically to abstain.

I had sex throughout all of my pregnancies. My last pregnancy I was even dilated to 5cm for weeks and we were still going strong up until the day my water broke.

It doesn't cause miscarriage in the first trimester. It won't hurt or effect baby. You don't have to stop once you're dilated and yes it can help labor along at the end, if and ONLY if your body is already prepping itself.

Perfectly safe! My husband and I do it often and I'm 29 weeks. Eventually you will need to find comfy positions to accommodate your belly but it's perfectly healthy

Cervix should be fully closed by now, so your husband wouldn't be going anywhere near the baby during sex, so it's perfectly fine. My husband and I continued having sex after we found out we were pregnant (6 weeks), and still continue to enjoy it together.

Sex is safe. I'm surprised by all the posts I have seen in the past of women who don't have sex at all in the first trimester (not related to doctors recommendations). Sex doesn't cause miscarriage
