I've been on birth control for so long, I'm worried..

I have been on birth control since my 3 period.

It was summertime before 6th grade when I got my period. I had my first period for a week.... then the next month it came and stayed for 2 weeks... then it didn't come for a month and a half and my mom took me to the doctor... because it was obvious at the time I was not having sex...

The doctor put me on birth control to regulate my cycle for me. I have been taking the same birth control ever since, it's been about 6 years.

I'm worried that since I was so young something could've affected me.

Me and my boyfriend decided that I would take what's left of my prescription, which is 4 more months and that I would stop taking it.

I think it would be best to wait for my period to come naturally once or twice before trying to get pregnant.

Any thoughts or similar stories?
