So we are both not ready to have kids... Probably within a year or so though. We just got married ladt year. He is 33 and I am 26. (I dont want him to be an 'old' parent anyway so i would like to start trying within 1 year)

The thing that is holding us up right now is that we are going to his country first for a few months, (in december) we want to travel (like go on cruises) and then when we come back we want to buy a home.

We have talked about kids... Somewhat. He has told me he wants kids and he has asked me how many kids I want. He sometimes says, 'when i have kids....'....

Now when we go to a family friends house the other day, they ask if were going to have kids anytime soon and hes like, 'nooooooo. I dont want any of that yet.'

And it seems like he really doesnt want to talk to other people about it. Like hes not interested.

Is this normal??

How do i tell him i would like to start trying within a year or so?

...i feel like i would not want him to be over 35 when we have kids.. Thats too old imo... Thoughts??
