Deodorant?

Question

I just switched from secret to dove because I read that aluminum  zirconium  octachlorohydrex can cause birth defects, dove has aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrex... all deodorants I have seen have one or the other. Is dove safe to use? Also had to switch face wash to cetaphil. Almost 14 weeks hope the chemicals didn't hurt the baby.

I still use secret deodorant my doctor never mentioned anything and I used it with my first born as well.

I switched to Toms my first pregnancy and stayed with that ever since, the aluminum in the deodorants I've read and heard are not good. So I just play it safe and use Toms but I also recently bought a aluminum free one from Arbonne - an online company. I love that and use that now but have Toms for backup.

I actually switched from dove to secret because in this hot weather I just needed something stronger... All commercial deodorants have harmful, pore blocking chemicals. If you're that worried, I suggest making your own. There are various videos out there showing you how. But beware: baking soda will make your armpits dark, then make the skin peel, then they will be raw. I tried it for a while but I went back...

There are lots of natural deodorant that have none of that in them but millions of people gave been using commercial for decades and not had any reactions
