I was raised Catholic and spent my early adult years as a Non-Denom Christian. I've actually only considered myself atheist for about 2 years now. I've learned a lot from my SO... It's been an eye opening experience! My decision was also greatly influenced by the hypocrisy, and flat out hate, I saw in most religions. I don't think I can pinpoint the exact moment when I "saw the light" (pun intended, haha)... but in the past couple of years I have found a greater sense of peace with my existence, and have been happier than I have ever been.
