White flecks = miscarriage?

Question

I'm 5wks pregnant. Have had a lot of cramping and I don't "feel" this pregnancy at all so I got a check up. Levels were good, only the sac was visible. I'm to check levels again on Friday. 
I've just had a bit of discharge with white flecks and every page I've read says it's amniotic fluid. 
Are there any other causes or am I having a miscarriage?

You wouldn't leak amniotic fluid till much later in pregnancy. The white stuff in that is vernix caseosa. It's wgat protects the babies skin from the amniotic fluid, it starts to flake off later in pregnancy. I'd guess you were having a normal discharge for early pregnancy. Good luck Hun. If you start cramping or bleeding then worry, I know it's hard but try to enjoy being pregnant.
