I literally had the same thing last night and called my NP and she said my cervix is possibly irritated and its normal.

I would call and let your doctor know but they will just tell you that spotting is normal in pregnancy. Just monitor it. If it gets darker and/or you bleed more then I'd call your doctor and let them know and they can tell you what they think. I had light spotting when I was at the beginning of my pregnancy and I worried a lot too! So it's normal to be concerned

Any first time bleeding for any reason you should contact your doctor, every pregnacy is different and they will be able to give you the run down on when to worry and not worry about bleeding for your pregnacy.

Try to get into your doctor for reassurance...you don't want it to get worse and have to pay big money /long hours for er!
