Nesting list

Monica • I`m a 30 year old military wife and mother to our 9 year old son, Rylan and daughter, Maci who is 4.
Do you have a nesting list? Or a list to get done before baby comes? I feel like I'm ready but then again I really need to organize and do some deep cleaning. The doctor said I need to wait one more week (36 weeks next Friday) before I can go crazy since I'm at risk for preterm labor. So this week I want to get a list together, however, I'm having trouble actually putting things to do on paper lol do you have a list? What's on it?

Oh my goodness Monica, I just read this and went into panic mode. I need to pack bags, get my car cleaned and baby seat installed, clean my house for the 100th time, finish hanging items in the nursery, and choose a pediatrician!!!! Tomorrow I better knock some of these items off the list! Haha!

We made a huggeee to do list a few weeks ago. Somethings were "must do before baby" (mostly house repair type things, but also visit dr's/daycares), a "would be nice before baby", "general to-dos" (dr appts for hubby, vet visits), and then "shower to dos". It helped to get everything out from floating around in my brain onto paper!! then we review the list and move stuff as necessary. As for cleaning, I still keep up on the basics, but I want to get our carpets shampooed and the house deep cleaned before he/she gets here so I'm looking into rates for local companies.

This is what I've gotten done so far. I've done it all over time, not all at once. I reorganized my kitchen to make room for baby bottles and things. I sweep my floors daily and mop them 2-3 weekly so that they're clean and ready to be ignored once baby gets here. I scrub the bath tubs and showers a few times a week as well. I've washed and folded baby's clothes/bedding. I've organized her bedroom and her things. I've sterilized passifiers and bottles. I've given my car 2 cleanings inside and out (next is my husband's truck--that thing disgusts me! Lol) My only other big task is to unpack and organize our office and spare bedroom. We finished building in March so it's all been a work in progress. I still feel like I've accomplished nothing.

I made a list of calls for my labor and delivery journal. Add baby to insurance, contact his pediatrician, and with my insurance get a free breastfeeding pump etc. I also have packed my hospital bag, charged cameras. I am 35 weeks but having him at 37. I did most of this little by little this week, and even had my car cleaned, my house and laundry. But now I'm finding I could have spread a little bc I'll be redoing bedding, etc. I am not on strict bed rest however walking a fine line, and the energy is just tough. So this weekend I also arranged a shopping list and recipes to make freezer meals, I will spend sunday preparing. Which made me think to write and copy a generalized grocery and nessesidies list that I can cross out what I don't need, but can give to whomever is helping me through my recovery. Pintrest has alot of nesting lists, things 9f which I'd never think of, check it out :)
