Sex in first trimester?

Question

Is it okay to have sex in the first trimester? I assume that unless you're deemed high risk or you've had bleeding worries already, it would be considered okay as long as you don't have really crazy sex? Lol
I'm 6 weeks and 4 days. Was feeling a tad horny the other day but I wasn't sure if I should risk it or not.

I'm nearly over with the first trimester and my fiance and i have refrained from sex as a year ago at 4.5 weeks pregnant i miscarried and we were constantly having sex. I feel more at ease not doing it just to be safe for now.

At 12 weeks I was put on pelvic rest for placental bleeding from a complete Previa. Up until that point we had been having sex. I think we were a little more cautious after finding out I was pregnant. I thought it was a great time to do it, no need for birth control and no periods to worry about lol. Can always give your doc a call and just ask. There is no question they haven't heard yet.

This is one of the most commonly asked questions on here! Doc is fine unless your doctor has cautioned you for some reason. As long as you feel comfortable do it! I actually felt it helped with nausea in the first trimester.

Get it in now in case you can't later. At 18 weeks I was put on pelvic rest. Zero sexual contact allowed due to bleeding issues. I'm now 21 weeks and we will go insane if this lasts through the whole pregnancy
