Help need opinions

I took a test and looked at it right away and it said negative so I threw it away. Well I decided to go back and look at it and its been in the trash about an hour and it came back positive I've never had one do this they always stayed negative still I've been ttc for 3 years and have taken alot of test that stayed negative I'm just wondering if I didn't give this enough time to show up or if it's just a false positive
