Pelvic pain

My husband and I are currently TTC for baby number four. I just got of of the pill last month. I'm actually supposed to start my period tomorrow. I'm having a lot of pain "down there". I think it's my cervix that is hurting. It's a stabbing pain. It hurts so bad that it actually woke me up last night. I just had my annual exam a few weeks ago, and it came back normal. I have no idea what could be causing this pain. Maybe it's because it's time for my period? Could it be an early pregnancy symptom? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
