Help. Heartbroken. Miscarriage?

Question

Last Sunday my hcg levels were 10,500, wed it was 18,000 today Monday its 27,000. Ultra sound didn't show baby or heartbeat on Saturday and I'm 7 weeks. My doctor said my baby has a slim chance to make it. I can get a dnc or let it naturally happen or go for two more beta tests and anoth ultrasound. Any personal stories or input?

I know personally that heart ache of looking at that u/s and not seeing a heartbeat. It's the worst thing in the world. January I was 18 weeks & knew right away, even when they kept looking. Unless it was a faulty draw chances are a drop that much would suggest the worst. I'm so very very sorry. You can always do another u/s just so you don't worry, "what if". My experience is a d&c is the best way to go. It's done & over. Natural is complete torturous. It's hurts emotionally & physically. Not to scare you but one time when I did it natural I ended up in the ER and 2 a night stay in the hospital because I hemorrhaged. What every happens you are not alone. It's very hard & sad but you'll make it through this. And what ever your choice make sure it's your choice.

If I were in your shoes I would let it happen naturally. A slim chance is still a chance. Ultimately it is up to you, there is no right or wrong choice when it comes to things like this, do what you feel most comfortable with.
