Cervix Check

Today I went for my 2 week checkup. I'm currently 33W+3D. My doctor mentioned at my next appointment at 35W+3D that I will start getting my cervix checked. I said I would like to hold off on it, (because I have read and been told from fellow mothers) that it is painful and not really necessary until later. She responded by saying she didn't care if I got it checked or not... I wasn't sure how to take that and am wondering if it
