Hell yeah! I'd make it known to any guy I'm with that if he feels most comfortable in an open relationship, then he can discuss it with me and we can go over rules. So if he cheated on me after I told him that, I'd be pissed as shit and would wanna now why he felt he had to lie to me about it.

And I'd wanna get tested, cuz if he's stupid enough to cheat on me like that, then I have to assume he's stupid enough to forget to wear protection.

In my opinion it hurts a lot more to realize you're with a liar. If they tell you after it happens and apologize I think there is a chance for change. If they hide it and you find out you just think about what else you haven't found out. It's a fine line and it hurts either way, but in my book, honesty is the best policy.

You know my (ex) SO and I broke up a few days ago. I've always known he was a good man, but I just could never trust anyone fully. When we broke up I asked him if he had ever cheated on me. He said no. I later thought about that question and realized that even if he did at this point I wouldn't want to know the truth. I know it sounds crazy, but I think it would take me longer to get over someone if in addition to sadness I also had a bunch of pent up anger.
