Do you think getting a guys name tattooed on you is bad luck

In short, no.

I think that majority of people that get a name and don't work out, are getting a name to prove their love for the person their with. They are getting the tattoo for the wrong reason. (My fiancé is a tattoo artist, we see it all the time)

If you believe it's bad luck then it's going to be bad luck. I'm really considering getting my fiancé's initials tattooed but I'd do it discreetly as part of a larger piece.

I got my ex's initials on me a month before we planned to get married. We ended up postponing the wedding multiple times and in the end I left due to abuse. I walked around for years with an ugly reminder of him until my current relationship. Had to find a good cover up. My word of advice to anyone who thinks it may be a good idea, its not. Don't do it.

I don't think it is bad luck exactly. Everyone is different. If it is something that you don't regret, even if worst case scenario you and that person separate,the sure. My hubby and I have talked about getting something like Celtic bands or a Lego piece (mine blue, his green for favorite colors) in lieu of actually names.

I would love to get my husband's name somewhere. I just haven't worked up the courage to get ink. Only other names I'd get are parents, a memorial for a teenage friend of mine who died of cancer a few years ago, and future kids' names.
