Hey I just thought I would introduce myself.
I joined Glow to chart and find answers and support.
I'm actually amazed at how readily available support is on here.
I was diagnosed with PCOS at 17 and told by a very rude and unhelpful doctor I had a 10% chance of having kids And I needed to lose weight but what he didn't seem to grasp no matter how many times I told him... I was trying.
Got put on metformin at 19 by a different doctor and lost a stone n half in a month  and over the 5 months I was on it I lost 4 stone which is the only weight I've been able to keep off as all I have to do is so much as think about a bag of chips and I gain 5lb.
I went to speak to my now new doctor about what my options were regarding fertility and she just said try for a year and go from there which I fully expected
me n my partner have decided to start in September but start the prep such as stop smoking and start folic acid now so it's no big lifestyle change.
I was with my ex for 4 years and we usually had unprotected sex and I never got pregnant so I kind of resided myself to probably never having a child but now I'm with my new partner I feel hope albeit slight and easily dashed
