I try to be supportive of how hard she works but feel sometimes my wife doesn't appreciate my work.

I've had similar experience. I was part of my problem. My wife told me all about her day and I empathized. But I never really talked about my day. If you don't tell her how hard you work, don't assume she knows. Doesn't mean you need to whine and complain, just communicate.
