How long did the miscarriage take?

The doctor said I'm going to miscarry. How long after the doctor told you did it take your body to miscarry? I want another ultrasound just to put my mind at rest and that's next Tuesday. I'm hoping I don't miscarry by then because I am leaning towards a D and C.

My first one took 5 days. This one, I spotted for about 24 hours and then it all came at once this morning. Every MC is different, so no one can tell you for definite how it will go. I have always completed naturally before I could get to my appointment. During my first one I was scheduled for a D&C and honestly I am glad I didn't need it. I found being at home to be much more comforting than the hospital. Saying that, the hospital near me is disgusting. Regardless, I hope that you find a way through this that brings you peace.

I'm wondering the same thing. Yesterday was my third ultrasound in 4 weeks and confirmed that our baby stopped developing over three weeks ago. I'm wondering how long it will take for my body to catch on. I'm planning on giving it another week to happen naturally but if nothing then will probably do the D&C next week.

4 days with me. Was in a lot of pain and in hospital for 2 days last week.
