After my miscarriage at 8 weeks my three periods after we're extremely heavy - a pad an hour at times, no chance of using a tampon. I rode it out because I had an ultrasound after the miscarriage showing my uterus had emptied everything. By the forth cycle things seemed to return to normal. Not sure if that helps...
Cycles after MC
Hi everyone, I wanted to see if anyone has had a similar experience and is further in the process and can give me some insight into what to expect... My first cycle after my miscarriage was a nightmare. It was super heavy and the Dr had to give me some meds to make it stop. I'm convinced it would have never stopped otherwise. LOL! Anyway, yesterday I started my second AF since my mc. It was way lighter than usual yesterday, today it's almost normal but still a little lighter than what I am used to. But, I've had awful cramps and hip pain since yesterday. The hip pain really bothered me while I was trying to sleep last night. This isn't normal for me. I usually just have light cramps for a few hours the first or second day of my cycle. What I'd really like to know is, how long did it take your cycles to go back to normal? Did they go back to normal? TIA!

I had a d&c after a miscarriage in March and my cycle has just gone back to normal. :) Had periods at CD27 (normal) then CD18 then CD21 then back to CD27. They all varied in length and flow which is very unusual for me as I've always been very regular. Our bodies have been through a lot so I guess it can take them time to get back into their 'regular' cycle. If it doesn't regulate after a few months, I'd chat to your doctor about it. Sorry for your loss and all the best going forward. :)

I didn't have any pain though, so if you're concerned, definitely chat to your doctor about. Hope you're feeling better soon.
