Marriage talk?

How would you say is the best way to bring up the possibility of wanting to get married for the first time in your relationship? We haven't talked of marriage. We have made jokes about how I am now a "military spouse" and some of my friend have called me "Mrs." We have brought it up jokiningly, only. But we are very serious about eachother. I want to bring it up but I don't want to come off as flat out blunt "I want you to put a ring on it." Any ideas?
