What are some signs and symptoms that your BP is high? Yesterday doc told me mine was high.. Which it was for the first time ever! I wasn't aware of the headaches and everything before then because I never had high BP... I go back to the doc tomorrow but what are some things I can look out for? Doc is talking about inducing me if it's keeps going up

140/90 is considered high blood pressure for anyone pregnant or not. Your doctor may have different parameters but that's the basic hypertension numbers.

If your numbers stay high do everything in your power to remain calm and call the doctor. Worrying and getting upset will increase it more, try not to be scared it'll be ok they're trained for this. I know easier said than done but I have to do the same thing

That's a little high. Being a nurse I've always been told they are more concerned when the bottom number is over 90 but please keep monitoring it cause you don't want your numbers to go higher just relax elevate your feet no stress what so ever if possible and keep a BP log

I got a my own cuff so I can check it. I have felt pressure behind my eyes and nausea when it was high in the past.

I've been having elevated Bp && heart rate. (14 weeks today) been going on for a few weeks. My personal signs are a headache, dizzy, nauseous, and usually I get a hot flash too. I feel like my whole body just heated up.

I'm not sure exactly what the symptoms are, I'd ask your doc. But I do know it can be quite serious for mom & baby. If it's pregnancy induced, the only cure is to deliver the baby. My friend had severe hbp with all 3 pregnancies but it was the worst with her 3rd who is my sons age. So we were pregnant at the same time. She was in & out of the hospital several times & on & off bed rest. She was able to carry him to 36 wks I think. But it was very scary. I had very minor PIH but it didn't onset until 36 weeks. I never had symptoms, my BP was Always RIGHT on the border if high/normal. Sometimes I would have a trace of protein in the urine. I was finally induced on my due date & everything was fine. I hope I didn't scare you, but just be aware. Prayers!! When are you due?

I had headaches, but that's really all I got. My blood pressure was high even when I first got pregnant and it's still high and rising. On the 16th it was 162/90, but she said it was rising every appointment. I currently now am being supervised more and I have to do a 24 hour pee collection thing (which out of my mom and sister I'm the only one with high blood pressure) I know they'll monitor you more and if your blood pressure gets even higher they can give you safe meds to try to lower it so you don't have problems. I know high blood pressure can cause preeclampsia and go into labor early. I don't know too much about it but that's about it. I'd love to know more though! Hopefully you and your baby will be fine and I wish you the best of luck!!!

I drank a coffee frapp before a morning doctors appointment and doctor said I had HBP. Then I was told to come by a week later to monitor it and it went back to normal 😅 don't worry too much about it 😉
