I'm sorry but that isn't a loyal housewife. Thats almost submissive.

I wouldn't ask him permission to leave the house, but I do run it past him, or ask him if it's okay if I go myself, if I'm in a rush. He likes to go places with me, so that's the only reason for that. 
I do absolutely everything for my husband. Out of love and respect. But he doesn't sit on his butt and expect or demand things. It's a two way street and he does all he can for me, if I let him.

Honestly, that's not a healthy relationship to me, what you just explained. No way. And not everyone cheats. She has obviously spoiled him rotten, and he treats her like a doormat. He treats her like shit because he can get away with it.

The comparison of men to dogs here is offensive to both men and women. It places the accountability for his actions on the woman as though there is some way for a woman to act to "make" her partner loyal. It's also insulting to men as it implies they're just dumb animals acting on uncontrollable instinct. Men and women both have equal ability to choose faithfulness. Not everyone cheats.

The way this is written out makes it sound like she's to blame for his cheating. I hear if she did x, y, and z why would he cheat? It doesn't matter what she's like he's the one who made that decision.

If they want the type of relationship where she is totally submissive to him or vice versa that's their decision. I don't judge that as long as it's what they both chose. If they want a more egalitarian relationship that's their decision. Neither choice should have anything to do with faithfulness.

Cheating is not a punishment for a partners behavior. There is no one perfect way for a couple to be and no way to treat someone to insure loyalty. The sad fact is that some people cheat. The person who steps outside of the relationship should always be the one accountable for their own actions.

People are far more complex than dogs. Dogs are awesome for the most part and I hate that comparison. Anyway as far as yor example goes, the reality is that sometime you can do anything and everything for a person and they will still cheat. It's just how they are. There are men who are very happy with their partners and will sill cheat. Just like their are men that are having issues in their relationship yet they still wouldn't consider cheating. It all has to do with the type of person you're with. Lastly, the relationship you described with your aunt sounds sick. I'm not surprised he cheated, he probably has that "I'm the man, i can cheat" mentality.

You cant do everything for someone, and to drop your life in a second just because they got home before you isnt right either (in my eyes) there needs to be an equal balance, and each person needs to have time to live a little of their own lives or else you get taken for granted cause your always around or things get boaring
