Hair loss?! 😱

Hello, I'm 15weeks pregnant and have been experiencing an excessive amount of hair loss. With my first child I had luscious hair and some hair loss after his birth. Should I be concerned? I have a Dr's appointment tomorrow and will be asking him...just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this.

Lisa. I experienced severe hair loss in the first 3 months of my pregnancy. It's very scary and stressful because you don't know what it's from. I even had patches of hair loss and bald spots in some areas. Then around 16 weeks it stopped falling and fortunately it started growing back. I am having a girl by the way.. 🎀 this is actually my second pregnancy. Didn't have this with my son. Good luck! Hopefully the hair loss with stop soon.. Be positive!

Me too! Mine is falling out bad! With my son my hair was thick and shiny and with this little girl it is falling out. Same thing happened to my sister with her daughter but with her son her hair was thick and strong. Her friend exact same thing too with her son thick and shiny and daughter falling out like crazy.

I am pregnant with my second child this one is a boy and my looks and grows like crap and my hair is falling out like crazy.. My first child was a girl and I had the opposite.. So please let us know what is said :)

Update! Just saw my Dr and everything looks good, baby looks healthy! He thinks it's stress related and I may have some anxiety issues or my diet... He says if I keep losing hair and it's noticeable in patches then he may do some testing for my thyroid since I also have tachycardia. I also still won't know if my baby is a boy or girl till I'm at least 18 weeks 😔
