How accurate is birth control shot?

Just took it today and I'm wondering if it's worth it

Depo shot worked well for me and for us.  Similar story as Chesney. Adjustment at first with spotting for at least a month. I started July 2013 and last shot was Aug 2014. Been TTC since Nov 14. I suggest you Track your days and any reactions, spotting, aches, etc.

I was on the depo shot for 3 years. My boyfriend and I at the time had unprotected sex the whole three years I was on it and never once did anything happen. The only thing I don't like about it is that it makes me very irritable the day of the shot and also when I decided to start conceiving I didn't get a period for 6 months after stopping so when you want to conceive it might take awhile. But other than that it works great
