Went and got highlights

Never in my life has my hair ever turned orange. I get blonde highlights every 3 months. Anyways I saw a different stylist. My hair turned orange and they refused to fix it for a week. So I had to walk around with orange hair. Now they fixed it a week ago and my hair is literally falling out in clumps. Idk what to do. It doesn't help I'm 6 mo postpartum and was already losing my hair to begin with but it def has ramped up and more hair is being lost.

I am a cosmetologist and the reason it's falling out is the bleach and developer was too harsh on your hair. They obviously didn't use the right product for you and you should have waited longer than a week.

Bleaching over bleach is never a good option but sometimes necessary to get to the level of blonde desired. As long as you are using a reconstruction deep conditioner that will help build and protect the hair.

I would need to see a picture of your hair now and see how much it has faded. I would tell a client to wash it and let it fade as much as possible, then rebleach using a low volume depending on the integrity of your hair. Purple shampoo can diminish the look of having yellow hair.

Lawyer up.  I had my hair fall out from a relaxer to straighten my hair, it was awful. It fell out at the crown, leaving a bald spot. This was years and years ago,  I was in 9th grade at time, I had to have my hair cut off to start re-growing it.  The salon, a well known, supposed great salon, paid for damages, pain and sufferings, and also the new cut, and weekly deep conditioning treatments- those were done at different salon. They should have tested a section of hair, this is what I was told should have been done to make sure my hair could handle it. I'm sorry this happening to you,

Is your hair falling out at the root or is it breaking off mid-strand?

They might not have been able to fix it due to the bleach. When you are blonde you cannot dye your hair anything for a least a week due to the damage it can do.

Well. They didn't use the right products for your hair. The only thing I can recommend is don't wash your hair every day. Skip a day or two... When you do wash your hair, make sure you get deep moisturizing & repairing products. Leave the conditioner in for at least 4 minutes.. Use a wide tooth comb to brush your hair out after the shower. Don't put any heat on it for a few months. Don't use harsh chemicals like hairspray or anything like that. (Don't use any products in your hair unless they repair your hair)... I've been growing my hair out for the past few years & I haven't put much heat on it, basically did everything I just told you (I had extremely damaged hair) & now my hair is back to normal. It was back to normal after 2 weeks.

I suggest using a hair masque. I use a Nexxus hair masque and its amazing! Ive never burned my hair that bad, but hopefully itll help! Let your hair heal for awhile. Orange hair is better than no hair! (Unless your okay with that look :) )
