"Glow Women"
We've had this subject come up a few times lately, mostly in a very negative fashion, so as someone who has been observing the Glow community since the day it launched, I thought I would shed some light on who "Glow women" really are:
The Glow woman is an American. She is an Australian. She is from the UK. She hails from Canada. Or Brazil, or Turkey, or India or Ghana. Or from just about any corner of the globe. She is 29 and trying to conceive. She is 14 and just got her period. She is 34 and pregnant. She is 26 and trying to make sure she doesn't get pregnant. She is in a committed relationship. She is single. She is divorced. She is widowed. She has no kids. And a few kids. She is straight. She is bi. She just got married to her girlfriend. She is transgender. Or she is just figuring it all out now. Give her time.
The Glow woman is Catholic. And an Atheist. And Muslim. And Jewish. And Buddhist. And just about any other religion you can think of. She is very religious. She is spiritual. She is none of these things. She is pro-choice. Pro-life. A democrat, a republican, a liberal, and a conservative. She is a proud gun-owner. And she protests the NRA. She is vegan, vegetarian, she loves a good burger, won't eat pork, is allergic to shellfish, is on Atkins right now.
The Glow woman just graduated high school. She is going to college. She got her masters in physics. She is thinking about nursing school. She has an MBA. She is a teacher. She just started her own company. She is working two jobs to make sure her kids have food on the table. She is an executive at a Fortune 500. She might run the world some day.
The Glow woman loves to work-out. She hates to work-out. She is trying to gain a few pounds. She is trying to lose a few pounds. She has PCOS. She has endometriosis. She had a miscarriage. She has suffered heartbreak. She has suffered loss. And yet, she still gets up in the morning and gets on with her day. One foot in front of the other.
The Glow woman is kind. And supportive. And sincere. She believes in bettering herself. In making a difference in the lives of others. She is courageous. She is passionate.
She believes that HER voice matters.
And it does.

I hope that clears things up. 8-)
