If, however, something odd happened and we ended up with both a male and female candidate whose views aligned with mine, yes. I would then vote for the woman over the man because of her sex.

No. I would love to have a female president, but I would never vote for someone who I didn't feel would be a good leader or who's politics I didn't agree with  just because of their sex. That's just silly.
