Coming off depo shot

I was supposed to get my depo shot may 11 but we decided to try to have a baby. I just had my first period starting on the June 24. It was heavy and lasted 5 days. Is it possible to concieve this soon after coming off the shot? I figured since I had my period it is possible. Anyone have any expierence?
