Anyone make their own cloth diapers?

If so, how did you go about it? I can google it but I'd rather hear about your experience and learn from it.

Any links you know to be helpful?

I was planning to buy some but am pretty handy with the sewing machine too.

My parents told me they used a mix of both when I was born. Clothes diapers are more breathable, so less chance of the baby having rashes on the bum I guess?

I've made my own sanitary towels but not nappies. Having tried a few styles on my kids, I think the tie on one's would be best to start with.
