Breast feeding twins?
My twins were born really early at 25w3d on May 24th. They are still in the NICU and I'm exclusively pumping. I'm so tired of having this machine hooked to my chest. And I'm pretty sure the flanges are not the right size. The 21's are too small. And the 24's are too big! But they don't make in between sizes.. I know I will be okay once I start being able to breast feed them. How hard is it going to be to breast feed twins? How much should I be making now for them to have later. They will come home on full feeds and I will have to work with switching them from a bottle of my milk to my breast. I'm getting 40-50 ml out of each breast when I pump. I'm so afraid I'm not going to produce enough for them. Or they won't latch. Or I'll end up drying out from stress. I just really want to break down and cry because I'm so worried all the time. The lactation consultant at the hospital recommend fenugreek and blessed thistle(I think) but I'm afraid if I start using it now that my suply will go back down before they come home. The nurse is estimating they will be in there a little over another month.
