MFM suggestions.. Did you hear the same?

I have given birth to three preemies so I've become accustom to certain precautions. My MFM told me she didn't agree with my ob. She is suggesting that we forego the progestin shots from 16 weeks forward. She read a study that says it could be harmful for the twins. She also said no cerclage. Did anyone else receive similar advice?

My high risk OB suggested we do the progesterone. The studies didn't show any difference in twin outcomes such as miscarriage and preterm delivery with the progesterone. However, he said that was in first time multiples. He said it's never been studied with women who have one previous singleton preemie and are now pregnant with twins. He said the risk of preterm delivery with twins is higher because of the nature of twins. He said doing the progesterone can't hurt and he feels it will be beneficial in my situation.
