Any FTM chhosing to have a C Section?

Question

I am leaning towards an elective csection. Am 38 with my first pregnancy at 34 weeks now. My docs said it's up to me. I have never wanted to go through the labor of pushing a baby out and have more anxiety about that then surgery. Just curious if any other ladies are making the same choice?

It's definitely your choice. I was scared too. To the point where I had crazy anxiety about it. I did a ton of research. Watched movies. Read books. At the end of the day I had a natural birth. I even surprised myself. It is the most awesome, empowering, wonderful feeling ever. Were built to do this. You're going to do great!

Hi its your body so do what makes you comfortable I personally would never have elective c-section have you researched the procedure and the scarring ? What part of delivery scares you so much ? I remember being for one during my first labor I'm ski glad they ignored me and made me go through in now pregnant with #6 and for some reason terrified I will need one idk why I think I would but it scares me. I'm 36 yo and 20w+3. This will be my second pregnancy. My first pregnancy, I was insistent on having natural child birth, however I had to have an emergency c-section. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, recovery for me went great, I was able to just use Tylenol and aleve. I've decided with this pregnancy, that not am I only doing a c-section, I've asked for it to be scheduled. This way I know when my little guy is coming.

I'll almost certainly have a scheduled elective c-section.  I have a condition that means c-section will be safer for me and the baby. From what I'm told most doctors strongly encourage women like me to have c-sections.  In reality,  natural delivery freaks me out anyway so rather than being upset at ending up with a c-section I'm quite relieved that it is my best option.
