Any moms on here who breastfeed/nurse who have nipple piercings? And were/are there any complications?

I had a closed piercing from a long time ago in my left breast.  I've gotten recurrent clogged ducts and mastitis in my left breast.  Dr thinks it could be related because of scar tissue.  I personally wouldn't recommend it just in case- so painful and not fun... :(

I had both my nipples pierced but they started to migrate so I took them out. No complications-successfully fed both my girls the only funny thing is that milk does squirt out where the piercings used to be lol

Definitely been thinking about this I would love to keep my piercings but I have my heart set on breastfeeding. Hopefully I can keep them in with no problems cause repeirecing them is a definite no go!!!

I've had them done twice. Took first set out when I got pregnant for my daughter over 6 yrs ago. I had no issues bf my daughter, milk does come out the holes, lol. Had them re-done two years ago. I'm 39wks and 2d now and just took them out to prepare to breastfeed my son, there was a lot more sensitivity with this pregnancy and my breasts grew almost 2 cup sizes by 12 weeks. Otherwise no issues, so far.

I had them pierced and took them out while pregnant. Had no problem breastfeeding, but deeply regret piercing them. I've had plenty of piercings and tattoos and those are the only ones I regret.

I kept both barbells in until I arrived to L&D, no complications except for the fact that the holes closed extremely quick.

I had them done as a teenager and took them out later, no problem nursing my first. I just recently had them redone and a month later found out I was pregnant 😑. I've gotten pregnancy piercings for them, their longer barbells that are flexible and have o rings on the ends so they're easy to remove. I'm hoping to be able to keep them when I nurse but I can easily see myself just taking them out with the hassle. I won't do it a third time if that happens lol.

Took my nipple piercings out when I was 5 weeks pregnant because I wanted to BF, didn't want to have the hassle of removing them all the time

I had to take mine out because my boobs hurt so bad I couldn't take the pain n they were some what new 😌
