A week after D&C

Last Tuesday I had a D&C.  I bled light for 5 days then on Saturday stopped bleeding.  Nothing Sunday, then Monday my back began to ache.  I said to my husband it felt like right before a period.  I hadn't done any lifting or anything really so didn't understand the back ache.  This morning I woke up and was bleeding again.  I thought after a D&C it would be weeks before I had a period again.  Is this normal?  I don't see my dr for a few more days.  And his office is horrible with answering questions.  Just wondering if I should be worried or not.
