Do you wash new clothes before wearing them?

Are you someone who just pulls the tag off and is ready to wear your new shirt/skirt/whatever, or do you prefer to wash it first, then wear it for the first time?

I try to always wash things before wearing them, especially bras and panties. I've heard too many horror stories regarding bugs and rashes and stuff from clothes that aren't washed before wearing them.

Any kind of underwear, YESSSSS. Outer layers (like jackets), never. Used/secondhand, always. Jeans, always, because I made the mistake once of having smurf legs and never again. Other things...probably not.

It depends on what it is, when I'm going to do laundry, and how bad I want to wear it. My sister sent me 2 shirts from h&m. I pulled it out the package and wore it no questions asked lol. If it's intimates and swimsuits, I always wash it first.

I mean so many random people have tried those clothes on. I can barely just try them on without feeling gross. Not washing new clothes is seriously disgusting.

I worked at Ross Dress for Less, so I AlWAYS wash my clothes now when I get them home. Stores like Ross, Marshalls and TJ Max have tons of clothes shipped in boxes and you get some boxes that smell bad!

It depends. Some clothes recommend it, like jeans and clothing with dark denim, some clothes I don't. It also depends on the smell of the clothes too. Some get a really chemically smell and I can't stand it. I wash underwear and bras of course, same with bathing suits and socks, but most of my clothes I just tear off the tag and wear it.

Sometimes clothing is sprayed with a chemical preservative to keep it fresh when it arrives. DAE remember those news stories of women who got rashes from not washing their new Victoria's Secret bras? That's why I always wash the clothes I buy.

I always wash... I mean sometimes there is deodorant stains and that's just gross. And of course all panties because a uti or any kind of bacteria down there is not fun... I just don't like to think about other people trying clothes on (they could have been sweaty, had head lice, not showered recently, etc)... So I always wash.
