Does IUI Work

I am curious how many people have tried IUI and what the success rate has been. Has anyone had luck with this? Thank you!!

We had our first iui on june 21 and just found out that I'm pregnant!  So yes it does work!!

I've done 4. The first 3 failed and I'm still waiting to find out if the 4th worked.

We conceived 2x w/IUI. But it's not recommended for some people depending on lots if factors. Also some people think it's a waste of time. If you have the $ or IVF coverage on your insurance some people skip it & go to IVF.

We are on our 3rd IUI now and hopefully this one will be successful. If this month is a bust we will try one more time and then explore other options. I know several ladies who concieved with IUI so it definitely is possible

Totally depends on the problem. My dr said success rate is only like 15% but that factors in all sorts f problems like PCOS that it won't help with. Plus it's also usually one of the first lines of treatment for unknown fertility issues.  IUI bypasses problems with cervical mucus and/or low sperm  Count- so success rate for women with those problems is probably much higher than overall rate. At least I'm telling myself that!

I tried it 3 times and it didn't work. I wish I had a laparoscopy before that instead of after. I wonder if I would have gotten a positive since I now know I had endometriosis while doing the IUIs. Now I don't feel like going through IUIs again since the chances still aren't high, so I'm going to IVF.

It depends on what your issues are keeping you from getting pregnant. To how much it increases your odds to get pregnant vs natural times intercourse. I've seen hundreds of women on here get pregnant from IUI many the first time, I lve seen a few get pregnant on rounds 5 and 6 one woman on round 7. Then there are hundreds who haven't got pregnant yet on it or it just will not work for. Lots if issues IUI will not help with and IVF is the only option. I am midway through my TWW for my 4th IUI. I boosts my chances a lot since I only have one good tube
