When to see a specialist

Did anyone have to talk their husband into seeing a specialist? We have been trying for 6 months now and I'm ready to see one! He has the give it time..it will happen attitude😔 and doesn't want to see one. I've heard 6 months and I've heard a year..should I keep waiting?

I had to wait a year before I could make an appt to see a specialist, now I have to wait 3 months to actually get in the door. Sigh. It can be tough but they wouldn't consider seeing me before a year of TTC.

How old are you both? Personally, my hubs is 31 and I'm 27, we've been trying for four months and I can totally understand where you are coming from! I'm going to get ovulation tests for this month, may call my actual dr at six months, but I will let them make the call before I go see a specialist.

For a healthy couple to concieve it can take up to 1 year. Specialists usually don't intervene before the year mark. You could always seek medical advice from your GP & what he/she thinks, but it's usually a year TTC naturally before anything else is considered. I used a Clear Blue Digital Ovulation Kit when we were TTC and it happened in just under 3 months for us! I stand by the kits so if you haven't tried one already then do so, it won't hurt! ☺️ TTC can be stressful, heck I was only trying for 3 months and I know that! Try to stay as positive as you can and don't give up hope! Goodluck hun! 🌻

We waited 3 years for my first. Nothing wrong with my husband. Just wasn't the right time. I would say after a year maybe but more thank likely there's nothing wrong with him. Can't rush it just have to let it happen.
