Is the heart rate wives-tale true? Over 140 = girl and under 140 = boy?

My first two were boys and their hr's were over 140 the entire pregancy. Around 150-160's.

Baby 3 was around 170. I find out next week what it is.

My NP told me that's a bunch of crap lol we're hoping for a boy and when we first heard the heartbeat, she said the range was in the 150s and boys are normally under that so I went "...oh" and then she proceeded to say it's a load of crap. If you eat right before an appt, the baby will get pumped full of glucose and their heart will beat faster.

My baby boy was 185 until 16 weeks and then around 155-170 through 19 weeks! My first son was considering consistently 140.
