Telling the Grandparents... Thoughts?

Meg

I'm telling my husband Friday. It's all I can do not to spill the beans before, but I have a surprise planned that has to wait til then.

Anyway, my in laws know that we're trying and even earlier this week we talked about doing iui/clomid this next cycle we decided to (and then I got my pos tests) . They have an idea of when my period would be because we talked about planning the procedure dates, so without outright lying to them we can't keep it under wraps for more than a week because they will be asking about the procedure or if my period came. We won't be telling my parents or anyone else til later since they all live in another state.

This weekend were going to see a movie with the in-laws and I'm trying to come up with a cute way to tell them. His mom and I usually get ice cream at this theater so I was thinking of

#1 asking them when we order the ice cream if they have pickle flavor ice cream

#2 asking if they can get some pickles with my ice cream

#3 telling my MIL that we need to get five tickets and when she asks why just say there are five of us. And when she gets a puzzled look just count and point "1 (point to husband) 2 , 3 (point to me), 4 (MIL), 5 (FIL)

#4 talk to the ticket agent ahead of time. Ask for five tickets when we go to the window and have him ask" 2 seniors, 2 adults, and one baby? " or" 2 seniors, 1 adult, and 1 adult with child? "

Any thoughts or variations to suggest?
