Are 3d ultrasounds worth getting done at 17 weeks?

I want to make an appointment for a gender scan but don't know if I should go 2d or 3d... I know 3d can look amazing if you're like 20+ weeks but is it work it at 17. Packages are pretty much the same price...

Read this and decide if it's worth it,  talk to your OBGYN.  It sounds like you are paying for it since you said packages.  My ultrasounds include the 3D scan but they do it for a few seconds.  I don't pay additional for them.  I agree if you're paying for good ultrasound pics.... they may have it on your belly longer than normal....

Ours will be at 30 weeks. I can't wait to see his little face in 2 more weeks!!! 😍 the place in going to recommends 28-32 weeks. The lady that did my anatomy scan at 20 wouldn't go to 3D and said "they don't look good." Kind of rude I thought!

To me it's worth it either way. But, if your looking to see a better picture of what your baby will look like outside of the womb, you're better off waiting until your further along. I had my anatomy scan done yesterday and this is my son at 18weeks 1day, unfortunately he was being stubborn and would not move his arm at all.

I did my 3D-4D in week 17+3 mostly because I couldn't wait four more weeks to find out the sex and it was amazing. I am doing it at week 17 this pregnancy as well.
