Too soon or no?!

Question

Soooo I'm only two days shy of being 17 weeks! Me & SO started cleaning out what will be the baby room, we took up the carpet & everything, now we're just coming up with a plan on what we want our little girl's room to look like! Is it too early for that? Should we wait till later on?

We have been planning and getting stuff for our nursery already and getting paint! We figure we do it now spread it out that way when I get miserable and tired the hard stuff is out of the way

The earlier the better bc you'll be too tired through your third trimester. I'm hoping to have the nursery completely done in the next month, all that will be left is buying little odds and ins and such. We just bought a house so I'm going to knock everything out at once.

I'm 17 weeks and we started painting this week. I want to have everything almost done by the 3rd trimester when I'm giant and probably won't want to have to deal with it and go furniture shopping etc.

I have cleaned out my spare room too :) I am going to make a start on it once I am back my holiday in September. Good luck decorating it's an exciting time

We started weeks ago and I am 16w. Go with your gut and do it when you want! I originally thought we would wait longer but had a roof issue and needed to remove all the furniture from the room as part of fixing it. Now, I am really glad we started early. I am a planner and this pregnancy has taken my planning to OCD levels. We can take our time and be more particular about things by starting early. I don't want to be stressed so doing it pieces at a time is actually really nice. Now, the nursery has been repainted, base boards and crown molding removed in order to put new ones in (hated the old ones but never worried about it until now), and yesterday we ordered the crib and dresser/changing table. We aren't changing the flooring and just repurposing a rug we already had. My advice, do it when you are ready and don't look back!!

I'm 18 weeks and we've had room cleared out for a few weeks and got stuff to redo the closet as well. Already started planning what nursery  will look like so now we just have to paint then get started decorating. I think starting earlier is great so you can do a little at a time and not feel rushed.

We are redoing my office to be the nursery and have bought new flooring to put down but are not starting until after I find out at 20 week what we are haveing (3 weeks from today we find out 😊)

Why wait?  Our room is painted, furniture is ordered.  Don't think it's ever too soon - the way I see it, more stuff is just going to pop up on my to do list, so anything I can think to do now, I better do it!  Go for it!!!

I started at ten weeks little by little lol. It's a great stress reliever in my opinion I love having something to focus on for the baby
