Do the increase slowly or does it just become positive in one days time?

It usually will spike, as it gets darker some women will test twice a day so they don't miss it, but you can also just bd the says it's dark but not quite a positive, just in case you surge later that day.

Once it's positive, you should ovulate 12 to 36 hours later, so it's prime bd time.
